Why should one go to a clairvoyant?
What are the qualities that a clairvoyant should have?
The prime ingredient is integrity and the desire to be of service. The reader acts as a signpost, a guide counseling the options available. During consultation the reader draws your attention to the hidden forces, responsibilities and motivation which can shape your life. The intention is to offer information and instil fresh zeal and purpose to assist you in your quest for emotional, spiritual and physical well-being. Attention should be drawn to the potential within and the choices you can make. Readers should not give instructions as to how you should live your life, the responsibility belongs to you. In other words you should own your life. By all means listen to wise counsel but make the final decision yourself.
It is important that you learn to solve your own problems and face the consequence of your actions. The client should be given intellectual advice or tools to make decisions for themselves and cope with life. The repercussions that occur through manipulation and control are damaging to all concerned. The objective is to be honest and supportive and not burden other people with negative issues. Undoubtedly unfortunate situations do arise but it is the reader's duty to offer guidance around these areas to get on with their lives. It is essential to remain objective, detached and not judgemental.
Training is essential. It is not just a matter of buying a pack of Tarot cards and believing you are a clairvoyant. A Pathway to service is achieved by studying a variety of sciences whether it be astrology, numerology, tarot, palmistry etc. I would be the first to point out that these methods are tools or extensions of your intuitive ability but are essential to your ability to focus on what is needed to assist and be of service. Personal growth and counseling studies enhance your ability to be competent and frees you from ego. Thus being a good example for others is a great way of imparting knowledge. It is amazing how whatever we study to be of service is usually of greatest benefit to ourselves and our spiritual growth.
Initiation is paramount before you are responsible or competent enough to do readings. Most teachers would recommend a period of free readings to fine tune your skills, not that you should charge if you don't want to. Life experiences are the greatest teachers of compassion and the feeling of tolerance towards others. By the use of integrity, wisdom, responsibility and intuition you can go further than health, wealth and relationships tell the client what they need to hear as opposed to what they want to hear. The truth does not need to be hurtful and usually can be supportive and therapeutic.
A reader should have the ability and the compassion to assist and be of service but can only do so much. The client must have the desire to love for themselves to listen. Often people say WHY ME! When they should be saying WHY NOT ME! thereby releasing the limitations and shackles of what they have experienced in their lives. The largest obstacle is self-denial. Truth can be hard to cope with. It is essential to have skills to be able to be of assistance.
A reader should strive to be on the path of enlightenment and knowledge. Someone who thinks they know everything and have nothing further to learn can be both dangerous and foolish. A wise person is aware of how little they know. It is not wrong to charge for a reading as long as you are of service and have been helpful. If you are gifted as a clairvoyant then you would be aware of the value of that gift. Many readers offer their services for free or in exchange for other goods and services. It is all a matter of choice and appropriateness as long as you don't hurt yourself or others.
Whilst one can discuss the virtues and integrity of a reading you should never take yourself too seriously. This enters the realm of the inner child and enjoying yourself. Many clients have a reading just for fun and to give themselves a gift of objective insight, the magic is they leave with more than they expected. Life is a different puzzle for each of us and with guidance we can solve the puzzle ourselves, otherwise we give up our turn on the merry-go-round. This book has been compiled as reference and a guide to those taking their first steps on the journey of self-discovery. Most people take this path not for personal gain but for personal growth. It is a self-discovery that never ends. The journey and the path we take is important, not the finish line. As always for those who do not understand no explanation is possible, for those who understand no explanation is necessary.
He guideth me in straight paths for his name sake.
Robert Nacson
